I have no clue how he does what he does. I just can't get over the fact that there are people out there who agree with this type of behaviour and believe he is acting in their best interests.

People are so self-involved, nothing registers anymore.

The Bible says that the love of money is the root of all evil...that's still true, but selfish apathy is now its brother.

And what do you do when your attempts at having a Dubai firm manage ports are rebuffed?

Hell, hire the communist Chinese to do your nuke scanning for you!

The same people that go along with this kind of thing are the same people who really don't care about foreign policy either or how we look in the eyes of others. :(

You should come visit the school I work at. 99% of the employees there are Bush supporters and a large majority will tell you that he is one of the best Presidents ever. These are good people, but at times their viewpoints are incredibly uninformed.

I've got a question- how do you guys plan on voting in the next election?

cuz whether the democrats are scum or not, not voting for the competition is a vote for more republican rule, and the neocons that control so much of the party
Funny is when a fat lady walks around while someone plays the tuba. Once you've seen that, you'll never laugh at anything else. Except maybe a skeleton dancing around while someone plays the xylophone, which is almost exactly the opposite of a fat lady walking around while someone plays the tuba. Well, a skeleton is the opposite of a fat lady. But is a xylophone the opposite of a tuba? History will decide.

Voting for either party keeps us in the same position year after year.

Thats a dangerous way to look at it, because even if its true both parties are corrupt, voting is the only power and chance the average guy has.

Why complain about what bush does, but then let people like him keep winning elections because "it doesn't matter anyway?"

I don't want to get into the whole liberal-conservative thing again, but other ideas about politics aside, I think most of us can agree when all this started, and who got it all rolling.

Who started the patriot acted, started spying on people's calls and started sending people off to be questioned and tortured in foreign camps without warrants?

Who wants to give ilegal immigrants work visas "to do the jobs that americans don't want?"

call them scumbags all you want, maybe its even true...but it sure as hell wasnt the democrats that did all that. It was BUSH.

its the lesser of two evils...I don't like most democrats either, but even the most corrupt and weak-kneed of them couldn't be worse than whats going on right now

I have no idea at the moment. I certainly am not happy with how the Republicans have run things the last several years, but not all Republicans are evil and not all Democrats are good. I will have to wait and hear the views of each individuals running. :)

Vote for the moderates of each party or those running on independent tickets. Sure this takes a bit of reading but hey...if you were to poll most Americans, guess what? Most of them are moderate.

I know, but what I'm saying is thats the same as letting bush win.

look at the people that voted nader in 2000- if they had compromised and voted for gore none of this would have happened.

Too many other factors for me to blame Nader on 2000. If Gore had won his home state then he would have been better off also. Ultimately, Gore only had himself to blame for how it played out. i just cant see blaming it on anyone else.

Not that that's not old news though.

Naders just an example. the point is voting really does make a difference.

Finally people are coming around to how bad bush is and how he's harming the country, thats step one...

then they say theyre not gonna vote democrat, because "both parties are just as bad"

No they're not!! NOBODY is worse than Bush!!!

Given the choice, I would vote for Pat Buchanon if I thought it would help get bush out, I swear to gd.
