2 trys to connect?

Post by Andrew Burkhart »

I have recently switched to a wireless. Since choosing this option I have had trouble connecting to the internet from my main computer. When i open internet explorer the computer fails to connect. 1 push of refresh after this event and I can conect with no problems. More of an anoyance and waste of time but I would welcome any sugestions.

fyi MY wireless laptop has no such problem.

You might want to double check the Connection parameters in

Internet Explorer > Tools > Internet Options > Connections (and make sure there are no checkmarks under LAN settings).

Checked it out and there was a checkmark under LAN settings. I removed this and unfortunately there had been no change in my ability to aquire a connection.

Thank you for the suggestion. Is there anything else I can try?

I guess the most difficult aspect of my problem is none of my automatic updates work. If I choose update from within an application it will tell me i was unable to connect even if i am already connected to the internet.

For the most part I am able to locate patches to overcome this problem but it is not ideal.
