Waddya mean? Like when you are addressing the judge/jury? Or does the court protect the first amendment? Clarify the question.

I suppose you could be held in contempt of the court depending on what was said. So, I guess it is a yes/no/maybe answer that free speech is protected depending on the interpretation of contempt...

I think the answer to your question isn't so much can you say something to a judge but wether another judge would up hold the contempt of court charge. I also think it would depened on the type of case. Like is there a jury or is it traffic court? In a trial a judges job is much diffrent then in traffic court.

:nope: Though implied it is not free in the constitutional sense. If you threaten to do harm to the president of this country or make a statement that is used to cause a riot or incite a crowd you will face jail time.
