IDE to USB?

Post by TEH WIN »

Has anybody invented a way yet to hook up a normal IDE hard drive to a USB port? I know they sell portable hard drives, but im looking for a way to take a standard hard drive and hook it up VIA usb or firewire.

Thanks

thanks for the help. I found a couple on newegg. i'm looking for the temporary style ones (just a usb cable and power supply), but idealy im looking for one that is powered off the USB bus like my portable hard drive is. I guess they havent gotten that far yet. Ive read a lot of reviews on the temporary ones on newegg and they are having a lot of bad reviews. I might just go with the one YOS said. has anybody tried any of these?
