Fast shooter - handgun

Post by ghost »

8 shots in 1 second on 1 target.

8 shots in 4 targets in 1.06 seconds.

Then 6 shots, reload and 6 more in 2.99 seconds!

This is a revolver he's using!! You gotta see him using the speedloader!!

Repost, I believe, but worthy.

I'm not trying to throw the bs flag, but he's not pulling the trigger that fast, I can't believe that. I have shot all my life, matches etc. That guy is bump firing that gun, he's manipulating the firing pin, very easy to do on rifles and such, I could teach someone in 15min. But it is more difficult with a handgun. What impresses me is he is not letting the gun climb on him, but I am sure the gun has a good balance to be able to do that.

Agreed that it has alot to do with that tricked out pistol. But its still talent to keep it on target and reload like that!

Personally ive been working on 3 round "bursts" from my ruger 9mm and trying to get them in the black....i will get there just takes some time! :D

Last week i was able to unload my 15 round mag at a 25 yard target (not silowet SP?) and hit it every time. All you need is center mass with that amount of lead! :D

You can google search bump firing videos, you'll see what I mean.  all day. But the reloading, the guy is just fast.

Actually this is not true.

He uses a Smith & Wesson I think model 6 with only a grip modification. Its DAO so.... as fast as you can pull the trigger, it will work the hammer and the chamber.

You should see the forearms on this guy he is like freaking popeye. Thats how he's able to fire so quickly and perform such excellent muzzle flip resistance. This guy actually puts all his shots on target usually @ a distance of 12 feet (which is the avg. distance of 70% of all self defence shootings or less).

He is on Shooting USA on the OLN all the time. Also I've read a couple books that he has been mentioned in like Combat Handgunnery by Massaad Ayoob.

Bump firing wouldn't work unless it was double action. From my experience I have seen people shoot that fast on many occassions *not with his accuracy though* and all of them were bump firing the gun. I mean it sounds like its full auto. He is either bump firing or he has a conversion kit for burst fire probably 3rd. He could easily be bump firing that gun and you not know it, I have looked at the video and I don't see trigger pulls. Just looks to me like he's holding it about at the break and the recoil it doing the work. But nonetheless the guy is fast never seen anyone even come close to reloading that fast nor exercising that much control by not letting the gun climb.

About gun climb/muzzle jump: well it's probaby just a .22 - what revolver holds 8 rounds except a .22?

He's probably worked the action on it so the DA pull is close to nothing and so he can move his finger more quickly.

Your right but they have modified cylindars for .38 but even so at the cycle rate even a .22 would climb. My money still says this guy is bump firing. If his pull was next to nothing or if it was factory and he rested at the break the recoil would pull the trigger for him.

Seriouly the guy is extremely fast, especially on the reload. But there isn't any possibility of him shooting 8 rounds in under a second with any out of the box double action revolver.
