Help please

Post by White_Mage »

Lately my internet keeps on getting disconnected every 30 minutes or so. And the only way to get it back up is manually repair the IP address. I am using cable, and there are two computers sharing the internet with a hub. At first I thought it was the hub, but when I switch the cable so my computer goes directely to the moden, same thing happened again. I called the internet provider, and they told me to turn off the window's firewall, and switch the speed/duplex settings from full autonegotiation to force 10 half duplex, which still doesn't work. The next day, I couldn't even go online while the other computer can still go online. I am running out of ideas and tired of having to refresh my IP adress. I hope someone can explain to me what's going on with my computer/internet. Thanks :D
