Our Grandaughter
Around 11.30 this morning our Grandaughter was having her snack, threw up, then a few minutes later threw up again, went into seizures then slipped into a comma.
Shes in the Hospital now, its been a long day.
We were back up this evening arond 9, she was stirring some and making some movements, they have no idea what is going on. Pretty serious at this time, we fear the worst and hope for the best at this time.

Hopefully it was just a missed high fever and that may have caused her to convulse. In this hot weather its hard to judge a childs temperature when its so hot out, since if they are sweating or what have you its not so obvious.Teirney wrote:Thanks Everyone..I just phoned the Hospital and they moved her to Pediatrics, she is doing a little better. That was such good news..going to go see her tomorrow to give her some Gramma hugs and kisses.![]()
I hope its nothing serious guys. Everything will be ok.

Doc is pretty worried about the low brain activity from the ECG/EEG???
Cat scan showed nothing abnormal and she was commatose for going on 10 hours.
She is really lethargic as she started to come around, but the move to PED's from ICU is great news, now we have to pray that there is no brain damage, something the Doc eluded to fdue to the lenth of the seizures and the length of the coma.
I have to work out of town tomorrow on some trailers up north, so I won't be able to get to Hosp till I'm done for the day.
Will be hard to go all day, but its my first days work subbing to this company, so I have to press on
Thanks for the well wishes everyone and hopeing tomorrow brings some better news.

I went to the Hospital afer work to visit with her, she is talking and recognizes us. She is still having trouble with motor skills and her eyes are not able to focus and roll around. When she tries to sit she is like a ragdoll. The nurse said it was left over brain activity from the seizure, and we just have to wait and see if she improves. I am praying for her recovery.
Thank You for your well wishes..it is apreciated more than you will ever know.

That is a good sign. It will take a bit of time. She'll get through this. A lot of prayers are being said for her.Teirney wrote:I went to the Hospital afer work to visit with her, she is talking and recognizes us.
