Post by X-Nemesis »

Just saw it...not much else to say.

George Lucas should never write scripts again...if he even did in the first place. Or else he should fire all the writers.

Only redeeming part of this movie like the Phantom Menace was the great saber battles at the end.

Question??? Why was Windu able to kick the emperors butt so much easier than Yoda. Sigh.

Darth Vader screaming NOOOOOO...didn't bug me.

Young Tarkin beside Vader and Palpy..COOOL

Time to recover brain cells..of what little were there in the first place. :thumb:

the emperor let windu get him into a compromised postition so that Anakin would find them there, like that. He used Windu to turn Anakin to the dark side.

Who gives a crap! It's fricken' "pretend". I went to see it because my wife likes Star Wars and why not finish the series. It was the first movie I drove myself to in 1977.

The only thing that gets me sad.. it that Lucas said.. and I and a few other "kids" remember this from back in the 80's.. that he was going to make "3" movies "after" Return of the Jedi... Now, from what is being said.. Revenge of the Sith is the last one..

Some people that I have talked to point to the
Star Wars: The Thrawn Trilogy by TIMOTHY ZAHN.. as a possible way to go.. I have yet read those books...

Ya got to love General Grievous though, in Epi' III

I saw it yesterday for the first time as well.. what I don't understand is..in EpVI when Lea and Luke were talking about her mother and Lea said I was really young when she died and I can only remember how beautiful she was. Ok in this EpIII she dies after they both pop put how is she to remember that being only maybe an hour old??? Pretty smart of Yoda and the rest to make her appear still pregnant during the march in the city after she died too.

I'm guessing it could be taken one of two ways: Either these uber-Jedi children have fantastic memories, or Leia may be remembering a step-mother from when she was younger.

Or...you could just add it to the pile of other things that don't quite connect from this trilogy to the other.

two seasons of a TV series have been confirmed and are currently in pre-production.

I *believe* that it will take place in the years between epIII and epIV, with spinoff characters.

I thought the same thing about leia's comments about her mother, though I thought she did refer to her 'birth-mother'.. Perhaps Lucas will cover it by having padme appear to leia in a jedi undead stylee way sometime hehe

And what is up with the coughing...a coughing robot...with human parts...gimme a break. You're right..he was a wuss...I was expecting him to be this dominating, intensely badass bad guy and yet we got what we saw onscreen.

When Obiwan and Anakin flew into Grievous' ship and left artoo there...and those warbots walk in...I'm sitting there expecting these appropriately deep and menacing voices but instead they sound like cartoon characters...TOO MUCH FORCED HUMOUR!!

Ok..now I'm over it.

Greivous was injured in the second part of The Clone Wars:The Animated Series.

He is part human, part machine. You know, kinda like Vader.

From what I hear, they're going to be expanding the clone war cartoons out to full 30 minute length episodes...

I have no problem with other people directing the movies, or even writing them. The stories in the novels are just as good as the movies, if not better. And everyone knows the best star wars wasn't even directed by lucas....

Lucs as NEVER a good director. He's just got vision and a great imagination, but doesn't know **** all about getting a great performance out of an actor, which is a directors PRIMARY job.

agreed, he isn't a good director....just a mastermind when it came to marketing and thinking up star wars....

i remember long ago hearing that Speilburgh was up for directing Jedi and almost did except he was obligated with some other film....that alien one i think...

I guess Lucas and Speilburg got pretty close to making it happen tho...

Blu-Ray recorders are already on the market in Japan, and the format will get a huge shot in the arm over here when the PS3 is released sometime next year. While I doubt it'll be the "first," with Fox already signed up for the Blu-Ray format, it could easily be among the first.
