Post by ColdFusion »

Hey Guyz,
Just wondering if At&t is avaible in canada. Im so sick and tired of @home that i need a new isp. I cant stand @home anymore, its just 1 problem after another, and this has been going on forever. Any1 that has at&t, is it better than @home? Or, could someone with at&t post a speed pic plz.

Thanks So Much Guys
I really Appreciate it!

AT&T's cable modem service runs through @home. AT&T@home does not provide service in Canada.

I think the service is great but it varies in each area.

AT&T does however provide dial up service but it is not well known. AT&T does do cable up here partnered with Rogers, as the name of Rogers@Home. The reason for this is AT&T cannot offer cable service up here because of the CRTC which prohibits US companies from participating in the Canadian telecommunications market (telcos & cable MSOs, satellites though from the US are allowed now cause it was a violation of NAFTA when they were banned a while ago). AT&T is partnered with Rogers Media Inc., but I warn you, do not get Rogers@Home as it is very bad service. Other than that ISP Canadian broadband is by far better than the US (except for OOL, and Haflifer your uncapped modem does not count).
