cable internet or Dell 8100

I have a choice between keeping my cable internet or getting a Dell 8100 with 1.7GHz Pentium 4, 245MB RAM, and 40GB hard drive.

Which is better?

I currently have:
Pentium 2 45MHz
192MB RAM
10GH hard drive

i would go with the comp given the specs you have there... but it all depends on what you plan to do...

Hard choice, I have a 8100, but kept my cable connect. I guess I would go with the cable. Going back to dialup would just kill me. Man I'd hate to have to make that choice.

i have the 8100 w/ 1.4...damn thats a hard choice i would probably go with the comp then u can get the inet later since u cant really get the power of cable internet with a p2

I also have an 8100....But, I'd probably get the puter and deal with slow speeds for a bit. With the new puter, you'd probably hardly notice that you didn't have cable access.

Well....for awhile anyway. I am (also) glad I don't have to make that choice. Good luck.
