Linux help please

Post by Forgetful »

Installed Mandrake 10.1 on one of my systems as a dual boot with XP. Bit of a newbie and can't install folding on it. Downloaded the Linux version. Any help/advice would be appreciated.
TIA

Not sure about Mandrake, I use Xandros, but they should be somewhat simular.

Single version of folding:
1. Put the Linux version in the root directory.
2. Open a console and type the following:
chmod +x FAH-Console-Linux.exe
(I think thats how its titled.)
3. Then type ./FAH-Console-Linux.exe
(You can put the flags you want to use after that)
4. That should get you up and running.

Dual versions of FAH if your cpu is HT.
Make directories of cpu1 and cpu2 in the root directory and move a copy of FAH into each directory.
Open a console and do a cd cpu1
then do step 2 and 3 above.
Open a second console and do a cd cpu2
do steps 2 and 3 above but when you get to the change advanced options answer y
and when you get to cpu number (1-8) answer anything except 1 to it.

Hope this helps you get up and running.

Tks
