When I was a kid I watched John Carpender's The Thing and it gave me nightmares for a week.

Recently (as an adult), Aliens, The Ring, Blair Witch (after watching the whole "fake" documentary first),

I just bought SAW, going to watch it soon....
I know you are, but what am I?

Some "kinda B grade" movie called "Grizzly" or "Killer Grizzly"...something like that. This man eating grizzly bear invades some campsite range out in the northwest area. Eating campers in tents, sleeping bags, etc. Movied ended with some guy blowing up the bear by shooting it with a bazooka out of a helicopter.

Tainted me for life as a little kid, boy was walking home through the woods or down the empty stretches of the street at night heart thumping after that for a few years.

LOL, was that the one where the dude shot the bazooka and the bear exploded off frame? The scariest movie I saw was some asian one about ghosts and stuff.

The Omen, spooky little flick. Poltergeist...made it so I could not go to sleep if my closet was cracked open.

Pennywise the clown also made me wince, something about evil clowns hits a deep nerve.

I'm right there with you on the clown tip Brembo, but for me I think when it came out and the age I was at the time The First Power got me real good.

"Them"....hands down for me! If you are familiar with the movie you will remember these giant type ant creatures made a cricket like sound when attacking. At the time I saw that...I was graced with some lovely shrubbery right outside my bedroom window....yups....you guessed it...where crickets did their best to serenade me to sleep...rather difficult to do...since I was under the bed!!! ( all the lights on too! )

Grizzly was a awesome movie.

Scariest movie for me would be "The Omen"

yep i know exactly what your talkin about...i could not use a sleeping bag forever after that one...where the guy gets thrown around and smacked into a tree n stuff omg....and cant get out of the bag....

but as far as scary goes...Exorcist, Salems Lot, Amittyville Horror...
