FYI:

Although they say you may not run a game server... In the Sac. area here they scan for Telnet and Mail servers only , and all scans come from 'authorized.scan.custops.home.net' (something like that), and it is easy to use 'Black Ice Defender' to drop all [ackets form that host, effectively allowing you to run whatever youd like on any ports and never be discovered. I dont even want to here some moron argue this either since it works, Ive seen it done a meeeeellliioonn times.

what leads you to believe the upload is capped? i can tell from your member # that in less you r blind you have already tweeked everything so when did the problem start and what area are you in you installed any firewall virus ect software? you use a hub or a router ect?? you use a nic or a usb to connect?? do you still get slow down loads at off peek times?? have you tried downloading the @Home 2032.exe from their home page to see if you are slow on their domain??? DONOT INSTALL THE 2032.exe JUST d/l it to get the speed? have you pinged the gateway to see if any packet loss or high ping times on avg? have you called support maybe your modem needs a fresh config pushed on to it ? just a thought here hope some of it helps let me know thanks.... also have you moved anything that creates RF like a speaker ect near your modem? is your rj 45 getting old maybe ? how much free space as a % is left on your hard drive? how long since you formatted and reinstalled windows? i know it is a bitch but it helps and your computer will run like a dream. how many things you got on your task bar by your clock (in start up?) hope it helps goodday

Even if he just cleared out all of his internet tempfiles and anyother temp files. Plus any software you do not use. Then defrag the hard drive this may help him to. ;)
