Serious Serious MIRC problems

Post by SP33D3MON »

I've had this problem where I can't connect to DALnet or EFNet. It says "(ERROR) You have been Autokilled." I have't done anything wrong, then I get this error message:

-global.mo.us.dal.net- *** Looking up your hostname...
-global.mo.us.dal.net- *** Checking Ident
-global.mo.us.dal.net- *** No Ident response
-global.mo.us.dal.net- *** Found your hostname
(ERROR) You have been Autokilled.

*** Disconnected

My IDENT is checked properyy. I the nsent a email to exploits@dalnet.com and got a auto response message saying:

"DSL/Cable Router : Your router must correctly forward ident requests and replies. Some do so by default, some require special configuration and others are unable to do so at all. You will require to contact your vendor for further assitance."

I think its my router but I'm not sure and I have absolutely no clue on how to fix it. I can't contact @home(my cable provider) because I'm sharing an ip and that is considered illegal. If you can help me please write directions here...

Sincerely,
BL

check your router and make sure port 113 is being forwarded to your computer running mIRC. I myself hate having to leave Identd open on IRC but in order to get on the server it has to be enabled... I just kill it once I am connected.
