i need to paint inside the house, help.

hi all

my house is white everyroom inside this house is white.
i want a change ,you know, different colors in everyroom.

and i dont have a clue of what colors to use in any of the rooms

anyone know a site where i can see what room's will look like before you buy wrong paint.

i just dont wanna spend money on paint, paint a wall , and say gee i dont like that ugly color,lol

right now i wanna paint the livingroom and diningroom.

I don't know of a site but just head down to your local hardware store, even Lowes or Home Depot. There are literally thousands of colors you can choose from. What I did was pick 3-5 colors and have the paint put into small sampler containers....for free.

I went home and tried a very small area that was unseen (behind a door etc.). Once the wife and I picked the color we went back and purchased the needed amount.

Your not going to know untill it is on there.

It is annoying but I would paint one whole wall with whatever you decide on and then buy the rest at that point (after doing what Joint Chiefs suggests)

I had some patches and thought one color would be great, painted the whole wall and then decided it really didn't work. Retaped everything and painted again. So I guess that brings me to another point, make the first wall one that does not require that much masking

i always tape a few of the color swatches on my wall for a couple days, see how they look in all the different amounts of sunlight that it gets during the day and choose wich one i like best. its worked so far.

Lowes has a nifty little program that you can buy in the paint dept. It allows you to take a picture of your room and place it in the program. You can then pick from different colors and add them into the picture itself, kind of like the fill feature in MS Paint. It's by no means perfect, kinda quirky, but in my opinion it does give you a pretty good idea what a color would look like on your walls.

Also if you go to home stores, they'll have a bunch of "pre-done" pallettes that already have great color combos that are proven to look good.
