MS Baseline Security Analyzer

Post by CableDude »

Any of you guys ever use this? Is it any good? I've got 3 servers (2 NT and 1 2003) that I am responsible for.

Thinking of trying this out. Just don't want it screwing things up. ;)

It shouldn't screw anything up.. It will just do some scans and let you know of any vulnerabilities.. Just be mindful of what it might suggest b/c a unique situation on your network may just require you to do something that the baseline security analyzer disagrees with.. It won't actually "change" anything, but more of an informational tool to test how well the server's security was hardened.
