Computer system for Kenworth truck

Post by TinyTim »

Ok, here is the idea....my father-in-law has a K/W (KenWorth) Semi Truck (white one in my AV) and would like to install a computer system in it that would control his stereo, have a t.v. tuner card, have 3 usb cameras hooked up to it, and a few other knick knacks. Anyone have any suggestions as to what type of equipment to buy that would hold up to the constant vibration (like the HDD and PCI/AGP cards shaking loose and getting damaged, same for the LCD monitor). Oh yeah, he would also like 2-monitors if possible. I do know that he does not want to use a laptop and would like to stick to the desktop for expandability reasons........

Look into the Microsoft XP Media Center Edition operating system as it may be what you are looking for as far as controling your peripherals...
