You took your PC's himen! Sicko! :D

Heh, nah on the serious side its telling you its missing the himem.sys file or access to the high memory?

Is the system overclocked?

I would run scandisk from safe mode to see if it finds anythign odd with your hard drive, also check the memory too if you have any extra sticks to swap out.

Do a search for himem.sys, it should be located in C:\Windows
If it's not for some reason, and you find it elsewhere for some reason, simply copy it back to C:\Windows

If it's not on the hard drive at all, you can copy it from a Win98 boot disk.

Also edit the config.sys and make sure it's pointing to the correct path, config.sys should look similar to the following...

Device=C:\Windows\himem.sys
Device=C:\Windows\EMM386.EXE NOEMS
DOS=HIGH,UMB

Can also have the following lines if you run some legacy database like software

Files=99
Buffers=40

Also recommend running a scandisk in safe mode, to help see what's up with the hard drive. You have a good updated antivirus software?
