AlwaysUnloadDLL is a DWORD or STRING value?

Post by Ka|ibur »

Hi, I was reading on some of the tweak sites about Windows XP performance tweaking and I was stuck on whether to input AlwaysUnloadDLL as a DWORD value or a STRING value.

References: Different sites claim this key to be different types

[STRING] http://www.winguides.com/registry/display.php/667/
[DWORD] http://clankiller.com/tech/WinXP/memorytweaks.php

Does anyone know what type of value AlwaysUnloadDLL should be? I tried searching M$ Knowledge Base, and only came up with 2 errors that concern this key but nothing that states whether this is a DWORD or STRING value.
Could someone please clarify? :(

Do you think it actually works? I don't. I do not see one little bit of difference.

Well it's not a miracle worker, but every little bit helps. That's what tweaking is all about :D

Is anyone successful in finding anything about this key?
