mouse cursor problem in game

Post by sentra8777 »

I have this old game called sci pinball. I was board one day and desided to play it. Well it installed and started up fine. But the in game mouse cursor dont move. When u move the mouse the cursor moves a little bit. It pretty much just stays on the cornor of the screen on the menu. What happens it moves a little bit but then shoots right back to the corner. I have windows xp. It tells me if i want to install direct x but i say no because well its an old game so what ever direct x it is i have a much more updated version of it.

Look for updates for it. Make sure all your hardware is compatable with that game as well. Also make sure all drivers are up to date. How old is that game? Made for windows '98 ?

Have you fiddled with any of XP's compatibility modes for this game, via it's shortcut properties?

Oh ya! I had a problem with Max Payne 2 at one time. Running it in windows 98 compatability mode fixed it.
