I need to get it done too. I just got an estimate for $2400 to have all 4 extracted. My insurance will pick up $1000 of it. Yikes.

Did they at least give you novacaine to numb the pain? It sounds like they took it out brute force =)

Yes and Yes

Only 2 were broken through and coming in straight. The other two were not and looked straight in the xrays under the surface. The Navy docs take them in fear they could impact or whatnot in the most impromptu time say during a long deployment etc. etc.

I'm not complaining however seeing the dentist's knee come up on the side of the arm rest while yanking like hell bothered the living **** out of me at the time.

How old are you? Wisdom teeth don't usually come out till late teens ~ middle Twenties. :p :)

Mine were crazy compacted and all four of mine was around... 600 per tooth plus all the drugs and so on. Needless to say it was pricey but my dads insurance covered all of it.
