norton systemworks

hello everyone
has anyone had a problem with norton system works?i tried to install it on my pc and it crashed my system and i had to take pc to the shop and they fixed it but could only install the av out of all the progs.on this program.does anyone have any idea why?it had alot of stuff i'd like to have had.

Well, the general health of your computer comes to mind. Virus free? Malware free? Windows updates?

well i think the general health of computer was ok and i know i was virus and malware free (if all the progs.i have for adware trogans etc. work)could it be i dont have enough RAM for such a large prog.to work?the tech just said alot of ppl. had problems with this prog.i think it has to be something more huh?i only have 128 ram.thanks for replying

If you are running Win98 - you could be running out of resources or memory.
You don't say what else is loading when you start up.

ritaann stay as far away as you can from NSW, it causes more problems than it fixes. This is especially true with Windows ME, any Norton product and ME don't get along, there are certain dll files that conflict and cause crashes.

I think it's sysworks 2000 that is completely incompatible with ME. Sysworks used with 98 and ME have always been known to cause problems though.
