ok im lookin for a goood comp that will be able to run good games and more than 3 apps at once, and not go outa fasion in like 6months. i dont need monitor my budget is 2200 aud(1,592.09 USD)hehe
somethin reliable and with 2ethernetports on the mobo

my 900mhz laptop will do that perfectly fine..

I think right about now is not a good time to be doing large upgrades anyways..with DDR2 and PCI-E are going to come out more and more

nothing lasts for 6 months in the computer world

as soon as you buy something it will be outdated

but honestly a solid i875p system with a P4 "C" CPU and 1GB of DDR400 will last you a good while, it'll be a while till all the prescott i92x pci-e stuff sorts itself out anyways, i'm not even gonna upgrade to that platform till around this time next year myself...
