Router problems

Hey guys just registerd on your forums and I have a problem with my router. Or maybe its my comp??? I have my router connected to 2 computers, my parents computer works fine, but i woke up today and i could not connect to the internet. the router shows that everything is hooked up fine, but i do not have any sort of connectivity on my comp. I just wonder why it decided to stop working all of a sudden. It is sending out packets but not recieving any. My computer is overclocked so i really hope its not any corrupted files. plz help...

Welcome to the Network Forum.

Unfortunately there might be many reasons for a situation like this.

Could be related to Internet Junk. Try to run Adware, Virus, Hijacker, programs.

If it does not help, you have to start to examine every thing from the Hardware Level, to the Network Settings, to the Internet connection.

You wouldnt happen to have a Linksys BEFSX41 running firmware version 1.50.xx would you?

nope... i ran adaware and all, but none of it changed :(

Unplug your router for about 30 seconds also keep all computers off, plug router back in, turn on your computer. Sometimes the router could lock itself, what router are you using
