Forum style request

Hey there Ken and Philip,

Allot of the sites that I go to using the latest vB have an option for a Midnight style like this

Is there anyway we could have that one here. It has a real smooth feel to it.

Yeah the name of it is midnight. They have it at Rage3D, DH, 9mm's site and a few others. It may be free or something I'm not sure. I'll see what details I can find out and post them here. I know allot of us would like it so it's worth a little digging.

I've done some digging and came up with zilch.

Now it's up to the great admins in the sky I suppose. I like it so much I'd be willing to kick in a few bucks towards it if it's not free.

I thought 'midnight' simply refered to the 'dark' version of any theme(?)

In any case - this looks pretty close - might've been the base of the template...

That's a complete remake of the templates and images... Looks cool, I agree, but it's going to be a pain to maintain some major change like that with updates.

Colors shouldn't be an issue, but once we depart from that it becomes a pain to update... I'll look into it.

Well DH is using vBulletin Version 2.8.0. Good luck on this one Philip. I hope you can pull it off man.

Just a quick update. Looks like Driver Heaven went to the latest vB and ported the dark theme over.

Well I finally got some info on this theme. It turns out that Ratchet from Rage3D designed it for both sites. Here's what he said:

So here's the deal Philip. Since I and many others here really like this theme allot I'll offer to chip in for the cost. I'm sure a few others would be willing to as well but I can't really speak for them.

I say contact him to see what it would cost and address any concerns you have about it. This way we could see how feasible it really is. There may also be a light version as well that could replace the forum default in addition to the dark. I say this only because the theme also changes elements of the front page with a sleeked out design. Not that the current front page looks bad in any way. Still a fresh coat of paint always looks nice and I don't mind getting my hands dirty to help out.
