Ive done everything I know how in security settings and privacy settings, and Im really running out of ideas. Please help I have important email that I cant even read. Thanks :thumb:

Download and update then do a scan with SpyBot 1.2 http://beam.to/spybotsd & Ad Aware 6.0 http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download to remove any spyware then install and update SpywareBlaster to stay spyware FREE. YOU MUST USE BOTH AD AWARE & SPYBOT TO ENSURE YOU ARE SPYWARE FREE SINCE ONE FINDS WHAT THE OTHER MISSES.

In internet exploerer goto tools internet options advanced click on restore defaults after down scanning with spybot and addaware

ActiveX is evil. I block it at my firewall - from all sites but windowsupdate.microsoft.com

Edit = I understand not being able to use windows update, but how does this impact email? Add windowsupdate.microsoft.com to your trusted sites - should do the trick.

Sending ActiveX embedded emails is asking for trouble. It's pretty trivial to write something nasty - and if you use Outlook with Preview, it'll run automatically.
anything is possible - nothing is free

well, when Im in internet explorer, I go to hotmail.com and try to log in with my name and password and the next page I get is that stupid "The Page connot be displayed" crap. Then when I go to MSN Explorer, I put my password and hit the go button but it wont connect and keeps doing (attempt 2, attempt 3 etc). I figure they are related problem somehow. Im about to format my whole drive over cuz this is poopy!

Also, after it gives me the Active X error when Im trying to get window update, it goes to the "Adminastrator ONly" Page, saying I need to be the adminastrator to get updates! I AM THE ADMINISTRATOR! :irate:
