Normal Computer Temps?

Post by skinz »

I've got a A64 3200+ w/ Venus 12 fan , 2 exhaust fans and 3 intake fans. I was folding and it was about 47-48 degrees celsius , is this normal? I took off the side of my computer and put one of my bigger fans next to it and it's running at 38 degrees celsius. Its a new computer so i just wanted to make sure its not gunna screw up.

I have the same CPU (retail HSF - with arctic silver) as you, but only have one 120mm exhaust fan. My idle temps are basically the same as my mobo temps ~34º C. Under load, I get around 44ºC.

Right now, I'm at 34ºC mobo, 35º CPU

I think your temps are OK, I think below 50º is OK
Fdisk?
It only take me one beer to get drunk...just not sure if it's the ninth or tenth one

Well, as you all know, AMD unstable products require precise attention to detail when setting up your system. AMD unstable product lives right on the edge. One minor less than perfect top notch component and you are doomed. We all know Intel gives us alot of slack in every conceivable config known to computer world.

So, if you insist on unstable AMD product. Get the most expensive top notch components you can find and you may end up with a somewhat reliable system. AMDs run hotter than yo mama's kitchen in the summer. But, they are able to handle high temps like that dude says but will have a useful life of 2 years. In 2 years you will be ready for another system anyways. So what do you care how hot it gets.

Good one! LOL! Actually AMDs are slightly more stable than Intel but Intel is up on the performance a bit right now. Can't wait to get my 3.2C! :D And BTW I suggest you research before sayin whatever you heard, my XP3000+@2.21 runs ~40C FULL LOAD.
