sasser questions

i dont think i have just a question. Were norton secuerity 2004 pick it up if it found its way into my computer? I dont have it installed yet.

It should once the definitions are updated. You may want to go to symantec and get the removal tool if you suspect your infected. Of course you'll have to do that from an uninfected machine.

Maybe you should go here.......... (click me)........... and read what Microsoft recommend. There are specific tools for checking for Sasser and a comprehensive list of suppliers is on the page, including one from Symantic.

Your best bet IMO is to run Stinger in Safe Mode and see what it finds, and then like the others suggest make sure your AV definitions are up to date. :)
