Looking at a coupe since I am buying my wife her own car this summer, and I just love coupes, what do you think? I need a ride, I hate being car-less!! :(

P.S. - The Merc Marauder is also being taken into consideration!

Hi Prey

Is it That particular car, or simply that kind of car your looking at?

That one is pretty low slung for NY Streets i'd think.

If it's simply the type of car then Toyota build Great cars, very reliable and the model looks good.

The Marauder is altogether different. RWD & Big. Also a nice car offering lots of impact protection & they are a great HWY. car.

I always liked Coupes as well. Check out the New Pontiac GTO. Nice :)

Have fun as buying is fun, it's the paying that Sucks :D

looks pretty good...

too much for my tastes though..
dual exhausts...flashy wheels, and the bodykit..
other than that the Camry Solaras are really nice..

as for the Marauder...what kind of gas mileage does it get?...
the camry solara should get ~25+mpg..
I know you wont get that with the Marauder..

.....I bought this car from a dealer, with minor damages to the body......Now the car has a Reconstructed Title.....
They don't total a car for minor damage unless the airbags deployed.

I would not buy a car with a reconstructed title without seeing it first. That car was totaled at one point, and I would bet that the airbags have never been replaced. It cost almost $2000 to replace two airbags, if not more.

Run a carfax on it.

A couple of questions I would ask him. What's up with all the wires running to the front of the car? Is it an alarm or does he have some kind of lights rigged up? Either way, it's a crappy way to do it.

Also look at the drivers side strut tower, are those dents on all Solaras or was it hit hard enough to jam something into the tower? It's not uncommon for metal to have small dents where it's bent at, but you want to make sure all Solaras have those and not just his.

Buy with caution, it was totaled at some point. If the work was done right it's no big deal, but it might just be patched up and painted pretty to turn a quick profit. He might have also put the body kit because the factory parts where too high to replace.

Minir you're right, it is was too low slung for the NYC streets, that mofo would crack in a heartbeat. But, in essence, I was talkin more of a Solara, not that one in particular, though it looks nice, way too flashy for me, I'm not pimp enough!! :D :D

I'm a tad more interested in the Marauder. I was in the hopes of getting a new car for the summer, but nw that I find myself car-less, I need something a lot sooner, if the car's not a coupe, then I want the Marauder!

Thx for all the info RI, the dents do look look a little odd, I've never seen strut towers with dents in them out of the factory.
