French Horn polish

i got a holton H379 silver and was just wondering if anyone knew if i could polish it with that silver stuff that makes silver platters look like new

Use a *MILD* silver polish with a silver polishing rag. Yes, they make special rags for polishing silver. Remember, it's silver plated brass, so too much abrasive or too strong a cleaner will wear away the silver.

ive got wrights silver cream and it comes with an enclosed sponge, and seems to work on most stuff is it safe to try it on my horn?

One of the acidified thiourea dips like Tarn-X could be used, but I do not know if I would bother. Isn't their a certain charm to the patina?
