Useless statement without a discussion of what the researchers considered corruption and what not and from what viewpoint. One mans corruption is anothers standard local business practice.

Oh yeah...nice dig, MSNBC. :rolleyes:

The United States came 18th — jointly with Ireland — with a score of 7.5. Iraq came 113th with 2.2, a score based mostly on data prior to the U.S.-led war that ousted Saddam Hussein.

So of course, Hussein's reign wasn't technically 'corrupt', but now it probably is...and it's OUR fault. Sure, sure...I can read between the lines, you journalistic frauds.
