Well, after replacing almost everything in my persario; I finally replaced the motherboard. Wow, what a difference. The only thing I distroyed while changing it was i fried some ram. My little ol' amd 550 is faster then my friends 900now. Part of that is that I keep a clean system, but now I have a dilemma! Here's my setup:

channel one:
maxtor 15gig 7200rpm running at dma 66m/s

channel two:
cdrom
creative burner

I also have a seagate 8gig, but that only runs at 33m/s. If I put that on channel one, both drives will run at 33 then. Is there a way to have both on my computer? I could really use a crap drive for burning, mp4's and mp3's. Thanks for any help.

amd k6/2 550mhz
64 pc100(96 megs of ram were fried somehow)
soundblaster 64 AWE(I just bought that OEM)
ati all in wonder 128 pro 16 meg
voodoo2 1000 12 meg acc
gigabyte motherboard(kicks apple)
kingston networking card

Also consider buying a new Maxtor 20 gig drive for under $100.00. Staples had them for around 95.00. Then sell the 8 gig to a friend.

HDDs have gotten really affordable. No excuse left not to upgrade.

Haven't seen that good of a price, tho.
