Here is my little delema. My residence at university is on a wireless network that suports 802.11a,b and g. and i can get it free! so i was thinking about getting the Netgear MA101
802.11b Wireless USB Adapter. I wanna go usb cuz there will be lots of wires near my PCI slots and that could degrate my single. Or should i be going PCI and not worry about all the cables. The PCI or USB NIC will cost me a little bit less than $100 Canadian. Yet Our resident internet is known to have its EXTREAMLY slow days. And as alot of you can sypithis with me here: when u have a nice fast cable modem at home it really sucks when u have to go back to internet that is as slow as dial-up
Or another option is going with cable interenet but that will cost me over $40 Canadian a month.
so should i go Wireless (PCI or USB) where the price is better but slow connection or go cable!?
any coments would be greatly appreciated and/or personal experice
Thanks!

That answer is really up to you and your budget. Faster and perhaps more stable cable for $$$, or free wireless which may vary, kind of like those dial up services you get for free out there...yeah it's free, but ya put up with a lot of headaches.
I don't know how bad their wireless is..it may end up being good, especially if you go with G, which is what I would go with. Tough to answer without knowing for sure how their wireless performs.
Knowing I online game SOOO much and demand the lowest ping...I'd probably lean towards paying for a solid connection. But being as cable is somewhat shared, I imagine the node(s) on your school may be heavy usage...and almost as flakey as wireless at heavy times.
