Long distance wireless networking

Hello all, i am going to attempt setting up a wireless network between myself and a few friends. They all live within about 1 mile line of sight and i was wondering what type of antenna would be best to use, a yagi, a directional dish or something else, and also what db would be needed to reach that far 18db,24db etc? We also plan on using 802.11g for the increased bandwidth as well. Thank you in advance for any help! :
