Post by YARDofSTUF »

from a reliable source i have heard that "Sane Anger" does have some hints of their roots in it. tho it still carries the load/reload sound too.

Yard, I heard the same thing. I watched the Metallica Icon thing on MTV the other day. It was pretty cool, except I hate Limp Bisquick and they slaughtered "Sanitarium".

the Met performance was cool, they played a 10 minute medly of songs off of Kill em All, Ride and master. They started to play a new song (which was the whole reason I watched the damn show) and stupid MTV ended it like 30 seconds into the new song.

Korn's rendition of One was pretty cool and Snoop Dogg doing Sad But True was hilarious!

Once again, someone invokes the name of headless grunge god Kurt Cobain! We need to get over the Nirvana orgasm that's been going on for over a decade and find something new. Hell, I'll even let you have some ****e like Hoobastank. Just no more Nirvana.....please!

the fact that you can even compare Nirvana to Metallica is just wrong ........

Kurt Cobain didn't half half an ounce of the amount of talent in his entire body that ANY member of Metallica has in their pinky finger ... he was just a junkie w/ an atitude who happened to be in the right place @ the right time ... no more - no less.......

ouch Claude, thats a rough assessment. I must say that I disagree, however, to each his own.

(I am a big fan of both bands)

I saw mettalica live with metal church 17 years ago. back then we shared the same views, however in the present i disagree with them and their music.

I was going to post a link to that thread, but the SG search results for "bullsh|t" were too numerous

sometimes you have to think outside the box to get inside the box ;).
