Will a modem make a difference?

Post by Cypher »

I currently rent my modem from Comcast. It's an RCA. Would buying a better modem make a difference? If so which would you recomend?
Thanks. ;)

That hard to say, I think you need to look at what your ISP has you cap at.If you are close to the cap with good ping then a new modem will do very little.Something you should do is tweak your system . That may do more for you than a new modem.

I'm right up on my caps. I was just curious about how signifigant the role the cable modem plays in performance.
