I'm 6'3, 172 lbs..My strength has slowly been dwindling as I've been dieting off my fat for the past few months. I tried flat benching yesterday and got 135 for 6 reps. I'm currently at around 11.75%, and my goal is to hit 7% ripped 8 pack 24/7. That's another 10-12 lbs of fat left to go.

Way back in high school I maxed out at 240 lbs, 1 rep. Max squats was 355, 3 reps. Like I said this was back in high school when I was all jocked out.

I haven't done bench in years. In college (about 2 years ago), I benched 255 once. I weighed 190 at the time.

That's my best.

I've done 300 lbs twice....never actually tried a full maximum lift on one go...

I'm making a guess that I could maybe do 240 or so now..I don't hit it as hard as it tears my shoulders up anymore..

1994 competed 12 years after high school.

made it into the "1200" club

335lbs bench.....once
495lbs squat......once
400lbs dead lift...once

I weighed 240lbs/5'7" at the time. while working out I would cycle from 200lbs first set, then go 10lbs increments on each subsiquent set, reps all the way up to failure each set. then ultimate falure on what would be my second to last set, then go light for the last set at max reps to burnout. I felt good

to get strong you have to eat strong. to get lean you have to eat lean.

It works.

Back when I was really into it, I got 325 a couple times - was working my way to 405 till I tore my rotator cuff.

Important lesson - ALWAYS work your shoulders and warm them up good before benching alot of weight. You'd be suprised how much it will help your bench.
