AMD Athlon XP.

Ive had nothing but good luck with AMD. Not a single problem with any of the 6-7 systems Ive built. Ive seen a P4 system, and Im not impressed at all. Not as snappy as my 2400+ system and this was a 2.26 system.

best value for the money....... I say AMD. However, if you want the current cutting edge performance leader (and want to pay for it) go P4
