Post by aagiants »

Im thinking of getting a sis 655 board, but what i wanna know is, they have 4 slots for ramm, in 2 sets of 2. Now i already have 2 sticks of pc3200 ram... kingmax

Now can i get this board, get 2 more sticks of ram of a diffrent brand? or u suggest 2 of the same one.. Also do all 4 sticks have to be the same size??

You can install 2 identical sticks in the 2nd slots, and have the 2 kingmax in the 2 1st slots.

Do Nforce 2 mobos require that you run DCDDR?

Not sure about the AMD-based boards, but on the Granite Bay you can only have RAM in the DC-DDR slots if you want the dual-channel performance. Otherwise, it's like having four sticks of regular DDR.
