I admit I think this is a pretty stupid question..
but for some reason on one of my comps the system clock is really slow..
I will set it to the correct time in windows and a week or so later it will be off about an hour or more....
One would assume that the BIOS battery is either going out or already dead..
but the odd thing is that the computer runs 24/7 so how would the BIOS battery being dead affect the system time?..
or any other ideas why the clock is/could be slow..

Windows does not keep time well. It just throws a few seconds off here and there.
It shouldn't be the BIOs, only the OS.
Does the OS correct itself after it has been restarted? I believe Windows gets the time from the BIOS during startup and then keeps up with it itself.

I will get a new batt as soon as I find out waht it takes..
the OS is WinME
yeah I know couldn't find my 98SE disc at the times..
um..never watch the time during bootup..
the computer runs 24/7 the only time I restart it is when I install an update or when the power goes off..
