He probably doesn't know he has it. I ended up with 8 emails from Lobo all infected with the W32.Yaha.F@mm virus. It's a nasty little bugger that will email everyone in your address book as well as try to disable any firewall and antivirus programs if it gets onto your system. Symantec has a tool to remove it.

mnosteele,
The smart thing I did was not opening any of the attach files... and the second smart thing I did was put him on my mail blocker.
Third thing I did was IMMEDIATLY scan MY PC for Viruses.
earthmofo,
WHo said anything about BoBo? I said Courtney Smith.
These did not have the charcaristic of that particular worm. And Most worms require Opening the attached file to infect your pc.
I guess Courtney wasn't smart enough to know that.
Anyway.. NO matter... Courtney has been blocked from sending me e-mails anyway.
Ok.. I'm going back to my Peaceful quiet world!

I hope Lobo learns a lesson from this and uses a good antivirus app. This is the second virus he has be infected with in the past few months. He always posts "I don't use any AV app running all the time or firewall (other than XP's) because they take up too many resources"..... geez you've got almost 1024MB of RAM so wise up and play safe and smart.
BTW Lobo since you hate me so much why am I in your address book?

That's what I want to know....

He was testing his connection speed and had shut down everything that was running then forgot to turn it back on again.
Speed testing is fine but I don't and wouldn't test that way. I prefer to test with my machine running normally. I'm only concerened with the overall performance of my connection under normal operating conditions and not just my plain speed. Besides, I've never noticed any real speed differences with everything turned off.

Go here for the removal tool from Symantec. I'm working on a clients pc right now that was infected with it and had to use the tool.

Lobo when are you going to learn that apps running in the background aren't going to effect your connection? A firewall might possibly effect it but you want accurate "real world" results so it should be enabled so you can compensate for it if need be.

earthmofo,
It's very nice for you to try to defend Lobo...
But do so at your own risk.. and don't say you weren't warned.
He has begged sympathy from many of us and then stab us in the back when we were nice to him.
I myself have been there done that.. I wouldn't trust him with my cat which I hate anyway with him.
I'm done...
