I wouldn't own up to it either. Looks like MD's on his own this time.

I work for an ASP. Our clients/customers are medical facilities and hospitals. One of the high points of the software we use is that it enables Medical facilities a faster and easier way for them to submit medical claims for payment to insurance companies. The way this is done is by formatting the data in aparticular manner (how the insurance company wants to receive it) and then compressing the files and sendiong them to whats called a clearinghouse via a MODEM. They are currently working on getting FTP up and running but it is going to be some time.
We are incountering a lot of issues with these modems. But I honestly don't think that it is an issue with the modems. I am having a great deal of difficulty in getting the Software company to look at their plug-in that does the actual transmitting of the file. I t keeps throwing me an error "Could not set protocol to Kermit." Sometimes it is able to set the protocol to Kermit - sometimes it can't. Why might it be having intermitten problems with setting the protocol to Kermit?
Plug-in? Or maybe something else?
I would appreciate any input or thoughts that you might have. Unfortunately I am not very educated in the way of modems. I am trying to make this as brief as possible so...if you have questions let me know.
Thank you in advance!!!!!![]()
