I'll get one instance on that rig.

Comon peeps! We're slipping...steady green lately.
On a side note.
My friend with Multiple Myeloma, had his bone marrow transplant early last fall...hid body rejected it. Not doing well.
Mentally too...he's resigned. Turned into a recluse, won't take visitors or calls. So sad...wife and 2x young daughters.

I have a 550 Mhz amd k62, it's not together, needs an OS and I only have 2 sticks of pc100 @ 32Mb for it. Would that box be of any use, i could dedicate it full time to folding. And if so, what OS should I load, if Win i think 98se might just barely run with those low resources, or how about a linux, and if so, what flavor? Sorry Stonecat, I never got into folding all the time I've been on SG, will fix that now.
Also can't get it online until i get a router (i think you saw my post last weekend in re my new apt). if it'll be useful I'll start putting it together. i have another i'd be willing to fold with, 700 MhZ pent 3- 328 RAM running xp pro (it's my music downloader and test box) my others i dunno, are DOS boxes any good for folding?

When you started this thread I was at 208 and now I'm at 80. Just added my new dual core work machine to the mix. Also using the dual Xeon servers at night when I remember to.

If you set it up as a service, then there will be no icon showing to minimize. If not...there is an option in the configurations settings for start up..then you will see one

The graphical version will set that icon in your system tray if you wish. I am reading here...that you wish that there..to click on and turn it off when you are on battery life. That one will work for ya then.

Unfortunately I know nada about laptops...so I cannot honestly tell you if turning down the graphics draw would be of an advantage to you or notaagiants wrote:i just dl the graphical version, i like the fact it turns off during battery life. Should i turn down the graphical draw rate?

Just so you know. The newest version of the No-nonsense version which is a little better then the graphical version, offers "Pause if battery power is being used (useful for laptops) (no/yes) [no]?" under advanced options. You can also set the usage to be a little lower by using the -configonly flag from the command prompt.aagiants wrote:i just dl the graphical version, i like the fact it turns off during battery life.
