Ad grabs my sound card....
and won't let go. When I go to tvgudie.com a ad for http://biographychannel.com/ comes up and drives me crazy..Got any hints other than not going to tv guide?

Do you have firewall, anti-virus and spyware installed?
Sounds like you have a bad BHO installed. First download Hi-Jack This, update, then run. BE CAREFUL what you remove with it. Click on the items it finds, then click "info" for a description of the item. DO NOT remove any Adobe, Microsoft, etc BHO's. A bad BHO should be obvious from the item description, possibly an Active-X plugin from some strange company (or from your tvguide thing).
Also, you should run spybot search and destroy WITH spywareblaster and spywareguard. I never get any spyware detected with these programs installed.
There's been bugs with new spybot v1.2, read the forum at PepiMK before you try to install. If you're not sure, download spybot 1.1, when updating you can download all the definitions, the only thing to not download is the 1.2 update. I had problems with 1.2 and am holding off on 1.2, went through a bunch of crap to get 1.2 off my system and reinstall 1.1. Also postings in our forum.
