T1 - Monthly Throughput

Post by dingle »

Can anyone validate what the avg monthly throughput of a T1 is?

Assumptions:

Month = 30 days or 864,000 seconds

T1 = 1.54 Mbps

Monthly T1 = 1,344 Gbps

Translated to bytes this would equal approximately 166 Giga bytes monthly, right ????

There is no average throughput. It is capable of 1.55Mbps. No connection is even nearly 100% utilized - if it is, then it would be slower than dialup relative to the users.
anything is possible - nothing is free
