Massive weight loss.
My friend used to be up around 280 possibly even 300 then he was diagnosed with diabetes. He dropped down to 180(im still shocked) leaving him with alot of loose skin. We were wondering how to get rid of it with out sugery or bulking up, he doesnt want to become too muscular.

I say that lots of exercise, or talk to the doctor about what to do...he's going to have to bulk up a little bit to let his body fill in naturally.

hes pretty much on an all salad diet. he only eats chicken and beef like once a week and he runs everyday. hes kind of taking it over board though, he wears a sweat suite like all the time. anytime we do something that requires even the slightest amount of physical exertion he wears the suite, hes constantly soaked in sweat. he got himself 2 jobs so that he wouldnt be just sitting around the house. other than that im not really sure what he is doing.
hes all paranoid about his blood sugar.
anyway thanks for the replies.

Good Lord. That is totally unhealthy. Natural weight loss occurs throughout the body, and will not produce excess loose skin. He needs to improve his eating habits and lay off the rabbit diet. Regardless of how much weight he's lost, he's still unhealthy if he keeps that up.
Actually if a person is obese, and then as MadDoc stated, looses a lot..the skin will sag...
There is an operation that although gross....will help...
In a nut shell, a strip of skin is cut around the torso and then sewed back together...Depending on how much skin is sagging.....not good for bikinis and thongs at the beach..

Yes, but only if a person loses too much weight in too short a time span and doesn't participate in some form of exercise to tone the muscles while losing weight. But eating only salad just simply isn't good for you. It;'s not wise to go from one extreme to the other...moderation is the key, as it is with most things. I've been through it all in the weight department.
