Ok I am running Sympatico.. and when I connect I get a sympatico IP. the problem is once connected my NIC gives me a 169.xxxx IP and the PPPOE adapter gives me a valid IP, the issue is I am trying to run a server but I cannot run the server because it detects my 169 and not my regular IP, I was told if I put in a fake IP on my nic this will solve the problem yet still no one cann connect any ideas?
