powersupply question

Post by CAT5 »

I got a entech true power and it has one of those blue wire that has an end looks like it could plug into a fan power plug. So...I am not sure about this so could anyone tell me what this plug is and what its for? Somekind of fan control or wut? The unit has two fans. thanks.

And it's also to allow the power supply to control the speed of the fan.

and you can also set an alarm in Motherboard Monitor to go off if the PSU fan fails on you.

like in my system,I have so many noisy fans I might not know right away if the PSU or CPU fan failed,so I use MBM to alert me,and there is an addon for MBM that will shut down the pc safely if the cpu fan fails. :)
I woke up this morning, had them Statesboro Blues.
I looked over in the corner, and Grandpa seemed to have them too.
