Security question, please help

Post by daveberg »

Hi All,

Thanks for your replies to my previous post.

I have cable ISP, use Zone Alarm Pro;

I notice this from time to time: On my home page, the links change color as if I clicked on those links before, even though I didn't click on them; this happens on the "news" links;

I'm the only one who uses this computer, so I can't think of who is clicking on those links; I was wondering does this mean some one (intruder) has access to my system or is it because I have cable internet access and as I share the connection with others in my neighborhood, their browsing activity is showing up on mine?

can anyone shed some light on this?

Thanks in advance.

It sounds like a cookie (munch munch crunch) it saves info from previous sites like login info, and what you clicked. Nothing to worry about there :D But to make sure its a cookie, go to the site, click the link, go to tools>internet options>delete cookies. Refresh the site and check to see if it hasnt been clicked. Nothing to worry about. :D ;) :cool:
