how do I lose my...

Post by exesion »

flubber  I hate dieting, it kinda sucks, so I've been lifting weights and doing crunches. So far, I've seen a ton of muscle growth in my arms but my abs don't seem to be thinning out. I'm eating like 1 sandwich a day that's healthy so idno what I'm doing wrong. Tips?

Abs are a real pain in the @ss to GET into shape, but once they are there you can keep them in shape pretty easily.

Keep up with the crunches- do them at least one time a day and do them not UNTIL it hurts, do it until it hurs A LOT.

also when doing the crunches try holding a weight just passed ur head, like about 10 lbs or 20 if u like. If ur looking to remove fat from ur abs area add in an aerobic(sp) excercise as well, it will help alot!

I couldnt agree more with YARD. Doing an aerobic exercise in addition to crunches situps whatever is the only way to melt the blubber. I might add that in addition to regular crunches leg lifts or reverse crunches need to be done to get the bottom abs in shape. That particular part of the mid section is the most overlooked but crucial. you can do all the crunches in the world but youll still have a paunch if your bottoms aren't toned. Its a bitch i dealt with and still deal with it daily!!

I thought this was a good idea until I couldn't think of anything witty.

Just maintain a healthy diet.
No fast-food.
Cut down on your fat intake.
That combined with running and a good ab workout will get you a six-pack.
Keep in mind though that this will be very difficult.
I have such a hard time not eating fatty foods :(

I can, we don't have them over here *LOL*. While in the US I found that Carl's Jr. makes the most delicious burgers anyway :p. And they DO get all over you, ahaha.

like the guys said. water, water, water and lots of exercise.

however rather than once a day till it kills you (crunches)

try doing 2 or 3 sets once a day, then rest that muscle group a day, and do again, repeat.

hanging on bars and doing leg lifts is also good.

for your weights, work a system so that you exercise each muscle group.
every 2 or 3 days.

work on abs and arms one day and calfs, and neck another.

try to allow a day rest basically to each muscle group worked.

the rest bit, is very important as it allows the muscle to grow and heal at the same time.

remember that when lifting for bulk, that you are ripping the muscle down and building it back up in a sense.

so a days rest between each serious workout is important.

also remember not to tire yourself out too much as you are a dating animal now :D

take care minir

Keep lifting, do crunches and run a lot. You do that I say you'll be able to lift a lot more. And if you've got a normal metabolisim like me you'll be pressing 140 in no time. Doesn't seem like a lot but i'm 14 and weigh 120. But keep it up and stamina will come to those girls ur talking about.

just lifting weights and working out is never enuff....

eating good food.. which yer doing... drink lots of water...

Running... u must run... after yer work out go have a lap or two of running..

and for abs... do more reps... to burn away the fat... if u put a weight and do cruches.. u'll just get bigger abs and not burn much of the fat...

I'd say.. 50 rep of 3 sets for a starter..
